The Environmental Management Centre WESDE (Water, Energy and Sanitation for Development) is a non-profit association created in 2004 in Maroua, in the Far North region of Cameroon. Its main mission is to accompany, coach and train local communities on local development opportunities, with a view to empowering them in the long term. On the basis of a participatory community assessment of the needs of the actors themselves, and with the multiform support of its various partners, WESDE has surrounded itself with a team of more than 150 people (from the multi-purpose community agent to the doctor) who accompany the communities on a daily basis in the implementation and appropriation of their projects with them and for them
WESDE’s objective is to develop its activities in Cameroon and in the world. For this purpose, we are recruiting, within the framework of a full-time permanent contract, individuals specialised in specific fields.

– Promotion and popularisation of renewable energies as alternatives to firewood – Studies and research-action on Integrated Water Resources Management
– Production and dissemination of information, education and environmental awareness tools and materials,
– Capacity building of actors involved in the protection and rational management of ecologically fragile areas
– Community-based care for children aged 0 to 18 years in five areas (health, education/schooling, nutrition, psychosocial and legal)

You will be responsible for the following tasks

The qualities and skills expected of the candidate

Training : Higher education or other relevant degree
Languages: fluent in English and French
